safely unloading speakup modules

To switch synths on the fly, you should be able to simply echo the new
name to /proc/speakup/synth_name.  I understand the modules are
supposed to switch for you.  If this doesn't work then do a 'modprobe
- -r <synth_module_name>' to unload and I'm quite sure that echoing the
name of the new synth to synth_name should auto load the respective
module.

The soft synth device can be built by doing
mknod softsynth c 10 26
The ls -l entry should look like this:
crw-r--r--    1 root     root      10,  26 Dec 21 12:29 /dev/softsynth
