Help! I've screwed up my computer!

yeah but not hot swappable. those hot-swap drive bays are usually scsi 
and most common in servers so if a drive fails, another drive in the 
raid takes over and the dead drive can easily be removee. I was 
looking at an intel "hudson" server case a year or so ago that had 
these.
