software dectalk problems

Hi folks,
I have installed the Dectalk software, and I am trying to get the Emacspeak server set up to work with it so I can use the Dectalk with Speakup. I have verified that the Dectalk software synthesizer is working by typing in a few lines to the say demo program. However, when I attempt to install the software-dtk RPM from the Emacspeak website, I get dependency errors for libtts.so, libtts_us.so, etc, which are all installed libraries provided by the software dectalk. Even if I try to install the RPM with the --nodeps option, I get errors saying that TCL libraries are missing. Again, I have installed the TCL and TCLX libraries but there's some kind of version conflict.
Finally, because I can't get the software-dtk rpm installed, Emacspeak can't find software-dtk/*.so files which it needs to run. I have added the /usr/lib and /usr/local/lib paths to the /etc/lib.so.conf and have run ldconfig.
I am running the current Fedora Core beta, so if anyone has had success using Dectalk software with Emacspeak in this distribution, please get in touch with me.
Thanks,
Steve
