having trouble with EEpro100 in kernel 2.6.3

Hi I have compiled kernel-source-2.6.3 for Debian.  How ever the code in
the kernel is not detecting my ethernet card and I had told it to go ahead
and automatically detect if it could.  However, it looks like there is not
a list of ethernet cards.  How do I pick the eepro100 for my ethernet
card?
