webmail, how does one read on linux?

Hi folks,
I am wondering if anyone have figured a good way of reading webmail using linux!  I tried to read the documentations for pine to see if it could be configured to send and receive from an http mail server, like hotmail, but could not find anything.  Did anyone have any success in figuring out a linux mail client that have the capability to send and receive from an http mail server?
