Support for the Dectalk PC

Hello everyone. I would like to get into Linux and I'm considering 
installing it on an older machine which has a Dectalk PC internal synth.  I 
been reading through the Speakup documentation and I can't find any 
reference to the Dec PC even though it is supported according to 
linux-speakup.org.  Can some one explain how to get this synth working with 
Speakup because I'm really at a loss here.  Thanks.
