time on demand with flite_time

If you have compiled flite or installed it on your system, you
probably also have "flite_time" available. One way I use it is in
an alias defining "ft" as follows:

alias ft='flite_time `uptime | cut -b 2-6` >/dev/null'

I place this alias definition in /etc/profile, so that it becomes
available to every user. Typing "ft" at a prompt gives me the
time of day on demand.

If you want to hack an entry in crontab from the rhs of this
alias, you may have to include the absolute path to flite_time as
well as to cut, instead of just the names of those programs.
