(OT) configuring for router

Hi all.
The person who brought this and tried it says it's 192.168.2.1; is that 
unusual or not?
I hat tried ssh and telnet but not lynx; I'll try that.
I also thought some configuration had to be done; with all due respect, i 
think this person is just used to doing it with a windows interface and 
wasn't really separating the necessary steps from the method when I 
conversed with him.
