speechd_up not working

Hi
	You did start speech-dispatcher, right? Also, check and make sure 
you still have a /dev/softsynth device with major 10 and minor 26. Try 
using spd-say to see if the problem is in speech-dispatcher or speechd-up. 
What synth are you trying to use?
