All synthethic speech is subject to individual taste.

For instance, contrary to your opinion, I find Dubltalk the most useful 
speech I've ever found for fast and clear reading.  I use it over any and 
all other speech, including Dec talk in any version.

There is not one rightspeech package for blind folks.  It's subject to 
individual taste and one's actual practices, as for instance in my case 
reading fast and understanding everything.
