About a week and a half after my post, I discovered that their embedded
stream had been discontinued, and upon going to their web site,
discovered that when you activate the actual listen live link for the
stream, windows media player got invoked, instead of the web page with
the embedded player.
Doing some looking at the html source, I figured out from where I
needed to download the asx file. After looking at the .asx file, I
extracted from that the mss:// URL that is for the actual stream, and
created a bash alias called windy100 that invokes mplayer with that
mss:// URL, and it plays just fine. Thanks again.
