using Slackware 10.0 setup with speakup

Hi.  The speakup in Slackware is
Speakup v-2.00 CVS: Mon Jun 7 10:52:38 EDT 2004
The problem is dialog isn't as friendly for screen readers as whiptail.
In most cases, whiptail can be used as a replacement for dialog.  I
don't know if the Slackware setup program is one that could be easily
changed from using dialog to whiptail.
