speakup reading ahead in Nano

Hi there list,

I am noticing while using Nano that for some reason Speakup some how
looses its focus and reads ahead several lines when I do a control K to
kill a line.  I am going through a dependicies.txt file for kernel2.4.24
and delete what I have read every so often that way I can keep my place
and this is where the symptoms seem to be happening.  However, if I use
the up and down arrows the focus is still great.  Interesting scenario!
