I don't know why you would need to know your fingerprint to get gpg
working with mutt, but you would use the --fingerprint option to gpg.
E.G.
$ gpg --fingerprint stivers_t at tomass.dyndns.org
pub 1024D/45CBBABD 2002-05-25 Thomas Stivers <stivers_t at tomass.dyndns.org>
Key fingerprint = EEB7 D6FA 8D1B 0607 8D62 2D36 E492 BAD5 45CB BABD
