Hi.  No, it isn't in Debian.  Sun's licence violates Debian's policy
on software licensing.  
Download the j2sdk-1_4_2_02-linux-i586.bin file from Sun's web sight.
Install the java-common package to read about Java in Debian.  There are
instructions in /usr/share/doc/java-common.
That's how I installed it on this system.
