Hi,

     Toshiba, and, I believe Twinhead machines, will let you press the C 
key at the beginning of the boot sequence.  The easiest thing to do is to 
hold down the C key until the system beeps.  then enter the text 
speakup_synth=<synth> command as usual.

     Red Hat 9 is the last release under the Red Hat Linux name, but the 
current version is called Fedora Core 1.  You can, and should, download it 
at:
