Strange problem with speakup and my braille-lite

The braille-lite will sometimes say garbage instead of a letter and sometimes
when words are capitalized it says cap then the word so for a word like Work
with a capital W, it says cap work.  It does this for every word and won't stop
until I turn that mode off in the braille-lite.  Then as per my example, if I
arrow down some more in aptitude, it will start doing the same thing again.
Again I have to turn that mode off in the braille-lite.  Occasionally, it gets
really stuck where I can't get it out of speech box mode and I have to turn it
off then back on again to reset itself until the problem happens again.
