Web Based Mail Systems

I'm thinking about putting up a Webmail type system on my local
machine so I can remotely pick up my mail with a conventional web
browser.  I tried Squirrel mail and the interface looked pretty good
but It seems to be truncating my IMAP extracts.  I think it is because
of the slow '486 I'm running it on <sigh>.  Are there any other
webmail systems out there people have used with favorable results?
