Hi all. I am suspecting bad ram in one of my machines as a cause of why I can't install Slackware...Or rather, why it bombs out fater attempting to install Less. And I don't think its the
installation media, since I don't hear the drive spinning up and down...Which would be the drive doing read attempts and failing. So I'm running Memtest86 on my box now, which has 1 GB of some
what I think is shitty Kingston PC3200 DDR SDRAM. Memtest86 so far has been running for sevreal days, and I'm not sure how long its supposed to take. Its on pass 158 out of what I think is
1024, assuming every MB is being tested individually. Also, if there are any errors, would they be displayed after all the testing is complete? Or will they scroll by as the tests were
running?
