Anything New with Speakup Lately?

I haven't seen any CVS postings for several months now.  Has anything
gone on with Speakup lately? I'm still using a version from CVS June
7, 2004;  is that the latest? if later, what new might have come?  I
especially liked the CVS notifications because that told me if it
would be worth my time to fetch a new update and recompile the kernel
and all that stuff.
