creating /dev/softsynth

Sorry about that. You're right...Its not in the docs, perhaps I should 
put a little blirb in there about it...What you do is create a character 
device, which major number 10, minor 26. You do this by doing mknod 
/dev/softsynth c 10 26...I believe that' tthe correct command line 
anyway...Consult the mknod man page.
