Starting with Linux

Hi Nick,

Though it is not exactly relevant to me now that I run two full RedHat Linux
implementations, please let me encourage you to keep the faith and continue
working on Zipspeak!  In June of 2000, I finally decided to get my feet wet
with running my very own Linux box after already administering a few Linux
and Solaris boxes for my employer.  As my first go-around, I wasn't ready
for the headaches of dealing with a brand new, clean install, formatting and
partitioning the file system, etc.  I was able to simply unzip Zipspeak into
the Linux directory on an old DOS machine I had lying around and go!  I was
up and running with my first small Linux box on my network in less than an
hour!  So, folks, this really does work and is definitely worth your time,
especially if you want to get started easily and you have an old PC lying
around.
