DoubleTalk problems

It definitely sounds like a power issue, either a short in the power supply
cable, or a power short inside.
Does this behavior persist with a battery, and the power supply totally
unplugged?
This information would at least narrow the problem down.

I have seen this kind of behavior from time to time. I never did figure it
out. I would certainly call RC Systems and complain.
