I too have had mine for about 4 years now, and it works just
fine. Although the volume control is flaky as you describe, although I
think if they would have used a metal knob like on the accent pc, that
issue wouldn't be a problem. As it is, that little plastic knob on the
doubletalk pc is so fragile, that I'm afraid it will just break off
one day.
