I've seen this same problem, especially when accidently hitting ctrl+s
at the prompt, when actually meaning to hit ctrl+d, so would welcome
an answer other then do telinit 1 as well.

On a related note, is there a way to clear users that aren't logged
in? What I mean is that my system says users x, y, and z are logged
in, when in fact only user x is logged in. Again, an answer other then
doing telinit 1 would be appreciated. Thanks.

Greg
