Mpg321 Broken in Slackware

Hi Steve,

	I have had this problem, as well, and I don't even think it's 
alsa-specific! My fix was just to use another player... Zinf or 
Mplayer work nicely. There's still some distortion, but it sounds a 
hell of a lot better than what Mpg321 churns out. Sorry I can't help 
you with the specific problem, as I'm not sure exactly what it is, but 
using something like Zinf will at least give you better sound.
