Hi speakup,
Ok, i'm trying to set up Brltty to work on my RedHat 9 system. I
have 2 braille displays, one of which is an Alva Sattelite Pro and
the other one is a Tieman Braille voyager. Firstly i tried setting
up the Sattelite, but that failed due to the fact that my system
only recognizes one of my two serial ports, so while reading the
right howtos and collecting enough info to get the serial ports to
work, i desided to go the Braille voyager route thinking that
possible would be easier... Well, it turned out that the braille
voyager driver needed a kernel part in order to work and ... yes,
you guessed it, it wasn't compiled into the kernel. I have read the
instructions about how to compile this into the kernel, but as it
was a little vague, i think, i'm not sure how to go about with this.
If anyone out there has Brltty, or better yet, has made attempts at
compiling in the driver part for the Voyager or can make heads or
tails out of the driver read me, i'd be happy to recieve some info
on how to do the compilations.
Thanks much!
