Problem with Capital Letters with CVS Speakup

Hi, John:

I'm not sure what the intro character is, or where I change it. It is
possible that something by way of settings has changed because of a
setting I did on the GNOME desktop which causes my synth to swear, even
in consoles, to the extent that I can only reboot.

Otherwise, you are correct, I'm using a stock RC Systems Doubletalk LT.
And it seems to happen in any and all applications as well as the
command prompt.
