Raid Device

I set up a linear software raid so I can have a huge backup file partition.
In 2 days I managed to fill 120 gig, so I need to add 80 gig.  I changed the
raidtab file to add a file space, but auto detection doesn't pick it up.
How do I add a file to my Linear raid?  Is there a forum somewhere and/or
who should I ask.  I can find lots of stuff about how to create it, but
absolutely nothing about how to add a disk to it.
