Auto Mail Handling

I want to set up a mailing address that, when mail is received, it detaches
the attachment and puts it in a directory.  It acknowledges that the mail
was received and deletes the note.  The acknowledgment is not that
important, but nice to have if it can be done.  How do I do this?
