Speakfreely problem:

Hi all

Can any tell me where the /dev/audioctl device is created from? I am
asking because I believe it to be what is causing my problem with
speakfreely. My problem with speakfreely is that sfmike will not
initialize. When I compare my set up to other set-ups, the difference
that I can see right of the top is that I am missing the /dev/audioctl
device. 

Now, I know that there is an incentive for no one to answer this
question. That being that as long as I don't have the answer, you won't
find me on the reflector. So you decide how to proceed with this one.
