cd burning with slackware 9.1 and speakup.s possible problem

Two modules weren't included; sg.o and sr_mod.o.  I don't know if my
cd-burner will work under these circumstances or not.  Also, kmod is
generating an error 2 when trying to load scsi host system each boot up.
If that's normal for an ide system that'll be good news.  cdrecord
-scanbus runs and is able to find sr0 at 0,0,0 if that's a help.
