Mailman Problems

I set up a mailing list on mailman and got the errors in newlist I sent
previously.  i decided to try sending something to
mailman-owner at interfree.ca and the server wouldn't accept the address.
mailman-owner is an alias, so it should have I thought.  When I try to send
a subscribe to mylist-request, it tells me that the list is not active.  I
get an error number of 451.  I suppose I'll have to fined a mailman mailing
list.  I wish that the code as installed by debian would run without script
errors.
