So, these are static ip addresses? If so, then you need to run dhcpd on
your server which is config'd via a file in /etc.

Or, is your server running dhcpd and simply assigning the same address
every time? In which case you're good to go. You'd merely ping
10.0.0.255 per the telnet instructions.
