Stay away from the high end chips, be it intel or amd. the 3.0 gig ones that
are out now are around a thousand canuck loonies---do your own conversion.
Something like a two to two point four gig is probably only a third the
cost. Are the amd chips still running hotter the the intel---I guess i would
be asking about the xp as compared to the p4. I once saw in an upgrade
article that if you were going to upgrade, a good idea is to go to a system
that is faster by a factor of three as changes in hardware happen so
radicly. Who knows, just a couple thoughts.
