I think Kathy is talking about Gnopix which is a fairly new Linux
distribution.  Unfortunately, it is intended to boot into XWindows with
Gnome so it would probably not be a good choice for a beginner.  You would
definitely be better off starting with one of the distributions on the
Speakup site.
