speakup 1.5 keymap question

As far as I can remember the loadkeys shipped with debian installation
disks is a modified version which supports a -b binary switch which
can be used to save a binary version of the key map. It's been a long
time but I believe it was something like:
loadkeys -b speakupmap.map >speakupmap.bin
or something like that.
