Hi all,
I am currently trying to compile a linux-2.4.20 kernel with speakup (cvs)
patched in.
I am running Debian testing.
I am making the kernel with make-kpkg
It seems to compile most of it, but it always ends up with errors such as
the following:
drivers/char/char.o(.text+0x1865c): In function o_slock':
: undefined reference to ey_maps'
There are also a lot more errors that have trouble with 'key_maps' but in
other functions, most errors seem to be all in drivers/char/char.o
There are also undefined references to 'func_table' and 'accent_table'.
Can anyone tell me if they have experienced the same problems and if so, how
they fixed them.
I'm assuming its something really simple like I haven't got a certain
library installed.
Oh, I am just using the x86 platform (in fact, I have a Pentium3 450... I
must upgrade that one day).
I am also using gcc-3.0 ... but as far as I remember, I'm sure I got the
same errors with gcc-2.95.
I firstly used a linux-2.4.19 and patched it to 2.4.20 and then patched in
speakup.
But I still have exactly the same proplems using a fresh linux-2.4.20 and
speakup patched in.
(I can compile a fresh 2.4.20 kernel fine without speakup patched in).
Thanks
