Revised keymap for laptops... potentially for universal use

Hi Janina and everyone,

	Sorry for not responding more quickly... my mail system was out of order for a couple of days.

	You don't need to worry about the /usr/src/linux/drivers/char/speakup stuff until you want to instal the unispeak keymap in the kernel... which I've done and you may want to.

	To use the keymap, just do a:

	$ loadkeys unispeak.map

while in the directory where you unpacked the unispeak.map keymap file.

	It will install the keymap for all consoles during this session. ie a reboot will restore your default keymap, or you can do a:

	$ loadkeys -d

	to restore your default keymap, which is the file: /usr/share/keymaps/defkeymap.map. That is, when you boot, the keymap which is compiled into your kernel is the effective one. When you do a 'loadkeys -d' the one in /usr/share/keymaps/defkeymap.map is made effective.

	So, to try unispeak.map, just loadkeys it. If you have difficulties withit, just do "loadkeys -d", or, at worst, reboot to restore your default keymap.

	If you like the unispeak.map, you can easily make a symbolic link to it in /usr/share/keymaps/defkeymap.map, by doing:

	# ln -sf unispeak.map /usr/share/keymaps/defkeymap.map
after which a 'loadkeys -d' will activate the unispeak keymap.

	To install in your kernel, you'll need a bit more info and the source for the keymap when you compile your next kernel.

	Don't worry about the kernel version stuff. If you have an older kernel and you loadkeys unispeak.map, you'll just lose your speakup review keys until you restore your default keymap. If you have the newer kernel, you'll add the functionality of the unispeak keymap while retaining the numeric keypad bindings for your 104-key/numeric keypad.
