Mandrake Linux

Hi, Mandrake does not currently come with speakup, but it does come with
gnopernicus on cd 3.
I am working on speakup rpms, but I don't have any idea when I will be
releasing them to the general public.
As far as graphical Mandrake gears itself for x-windows, but this can be
changed simply by setting your run-level to 3 if you want to boot directly
to a text login.
There are however several many applications compiled for Mandrake already in
rpm format that ship with Mandrake that work well with speakup such as cdcd,
nano, mutt, antiword, lynx, etc...  They have a very large selection of
packages so it isn't too hard finding speech friendly apps already compiled
and packaged for Mandrake 9.1/9.2.
