what linux should I use?

I'd use bigslack if I were you.
I tried zipslack on my windows box a few months ago just to see what 
it was like and I was surprised at what was missing. supposedly 
bigslack has everything you need...but is that still developed?
if you're looking for a live linux cd that's easy to use just grab 
installation disk 2 of the slackware set.
