trouble with knoppix with speakup

If I may jump in here, the man page for cdrecord says:

"There is no guarantee that your drive supports overburning at all.
Make a test to check if
              your drive implements the feature.

"

So, this may not work for everyone, regardless of if cdrecord or
cdrdao is used.
