Unable to load speakup_audptr.o

Hi all,

     Whenever I try to load the module for the Audapter, I hear 0x05[q] 
and the synth is not found.  The log reports the failure of the probe, and 
the module fails to load with "no such device".  BTW, the DecTalk Express 
works fine.
     Any ideas?
