incorrect directory size in listing

Hi all.

Does someone have an answer for this one?

When I do "ls -lhd /storage/music", I get:
"drwx------    2 greg     storage      8.0k Aug 31 23:35 /storage/music/".

I know for a fact that /storage/music contains about 400 megs worth of files. Is the 8.0K shown showing me the inode for that directory? How can I get a total size of the contents of the directory, instead of the inode (if that's what that is)? Thanks in advance.
