Synthesizer issues

I called Freedom Scientific regarding this.  Apparently (at least for 
Windows machines) BNS and BLT use different TTS drivers.  Of course, they 
don't support linux (the tech support guy told me he is not a techie and 
thus dunno what to suggest)
