gcc possibly broken.

Hi,
I tryed with no success earlier today to compile lame.
I'm using debian woody 3.0 and the compiler is gcc 2.95.4
when I ran configure for lame I got this output.

is it possible I broke gcc somewhere along the line? thanks in advance.
