Enquiring Speakup for GUI Linux

Hi, you have to checkout Gnopernicus, Gnome Speech, and Gnome Mag, out of
cvs on the Gnome.org server. However, before you can even get started with
building, debugging, and toying with it you need to download the Gnome 2.0
desktop and build it from source which is not exactly fun either.
Then, you will need either Viavoice Outloud or Festival to get speech going.
