Emacspeak and Speak up for linux

Something else and I haven't got a definitive answer for it either.
emacspeak 16.0 the latest version ends up compiling with several undefined
symbols on slackware 8.0.0.  It's probably an earlier version that won't
have problems.  I ended up getting emacspeak.tgz off of James Vanzandt's
page and that installed with fewer problems but it may not be the latest
version that will work.  I'll have to find a link to Matt Campbell's home
page to figure the rest of this out.
