Hi,
Both SAS and SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) were born on
mainframes. The windows versions are simply ports. The historical
spreadsheet program of course is 1.2.3 and/or twin. As for database
programs it's d-base. Remember word star? If my memory serves me correct,
these were born under cp/m?

Cecil
