Consensus opinion required - was 'more worms'

Hi

I don't understand your strong response.  Surely its in the list owner's
interest to protect himself of accusations of being a spreader of
viruses.  I know from personal experience.  BASHOnline was set up right
from the beginning to forward only plain text messages and deny the
forwarding of attachments.  Gordon Keen announced on the accessuk list
that I allowed the spreading of viruses which has had a devostating
effect upon the list.

There's no justification of html messages on this list that I can think
of as we're discussing speech access to GNU/Linux interface.  How do you
gain from sending or receiving html messages?  Please enlighten me.
